Please read the Terms and Conditions prior to ordering. The terms and conditions apply to Saracens handmade upholstered furniture.
1: Delivery main land Uk Orders
1.1: While we will use every reasonable effort to deliver the goods with the timescale advised. Sometimes unforeseen delays may occur in the supply chain, and therefore we cannot guarantee that the time scale will be met, and there do not accept liability for such a delay.
1.2: When your goods are ready for delivery, you will be contacted to arrange a delivery date.
1.3: Goods will be delivered to a ground floor room you have selected. Good clear access should be provided, this includes the outside of the property leading into the room prior to delivery. All ornaments, pictures and furniture items must be removed so they don’t restrict the delivery process.
1.4: Floor coverings should be protected where necessary in order to withstand outdoor footwear from the delivery team.
1.5: Please note that the dimensions of the Goods quoted by our sales team, and in all published formats are a guild only. There can be minor variations in dimensions due to the handmade nature of our products.
1.6: It is your responsibility to ensure that there is adequate access for the delivery teams to be able park at the property. If after assessing the property access, the delivery team are unable to deliver without coming into contact with walls, woodwork ect. The delivery can be rearranged until alternate access can be provided (this will incur a surcharge) or by signing a disclaimer, the delivery team can then proceed with the delivery.
1.7: In the event of any damaged being caused during the delivery process, the delivery team must be made aware of any damage before they leave.
1.8: Time will be given by the delivery team to inspect your items to your satisfaction. You will then be asked to sign a receipt for goods stating that you have received them in good condition. It is important that you do inspect your furniture as we cannot accept responsibility for any cosmetic or superficial damage reported after delivery is completed.
1.9: The standard delivery charge is shown on the order confirmation.
1.10: Standard delivery is made Monday to Friday to a ground floor room at the address in mainland UK.
1.11: Deliveries that are not to a ground floor level, or involve going through windows or across terraces will incur additional charges that are to be agreed before delivery.

2: Payment
2.1: (UK Mainland Only)
2.2: Deposit payment amount shown on order confirmation must have been received and cleared prior to the manufacture of goods. For standard orders this is a 20% of the order value. For spoke orders a non- refundable 50% deposit is required.
2.3: The balance payment is due prior to the delivery. Credit/Debit card payments must be made within office hours 7 days prior to delivery. Payments can only be made with Credit or Debit cards which are registered at the delivery address.
3. Specification and Quality
Sizes
3.1: All goods are manufactured within reasonable commercial standards of tolerances for goods of their type and there can be minor variations in the dimensions of the finished goods compared to any written dimensions given. We therefore allow a 4cm tolerance.
3.2: Quality & Care
3.2: All our furniture produced is individually handmade. There can be minor variations in colour, size and appearance between goods and items displayed and in all our advertising, literature and website.
3.3: Leather is unique, each and every hide is hallmarked with its own characteristics. These hallmarks includes growth lines and scars. And are testament to the natural origin of the product and should not be regarded as a defect or fault. Each hide has variations in the texture of the grain and shading variations within and between the hides. Such hallmarking has long been considered as one of the leathers main attractions by the discerning owner. It is also quite normal to expect crease lines and some stretching to occur particularly on the cushion tops. We are unable to accept the return of goods based on the complaint of trivial natural marks, scars or stretching that any reasonable person aware of the leathers natural characteristics would expect.
3.4: All orders are made from the same batch of leathers or fabric to ensure colour match. Orders made at a different time cannot be guaranteed colour match.
3.5: Leather or fabric supplied by the customer, is the customers responsibility to ensure that it meets all the relevant specifications and legal regulations with regard to flammability and upholstery suitability.
3.6: Antique Effect finish that is used on some leathers, due to the process to create the artificially aged look, can be expected that through everyday usage, abrasion will accentuate the colour change and is an integral feature of the leather finish.
3.7: A reduction in the firmness and movement of pleats is to be expected with use and therefore is not considered as a fault.
3.8: Medications can cause abnormal amount of excretions from the skin, which can effect the surface of some leathers and fabrics.
3.9: Sunlight, exposure both direct and indirect will effect all leathers and fabrics and fading is usually the result.
4 Cancellations
4.1: All our furniture is made specially for your order, we do not carry stock. Therefore we will only except an order cancellation made by email to [email protected] within 7 days of placing the order, you will receive a cancellation confirmation back confirming the order has been cancelled. After this time we reserve the right to withhold some or all monies already paid to cover any costs incurred up to that point.
4.2: Returns of none faulty goods, for online purchases- we must receive notification within 28 days of delivery. By email to [email protected] or telephone 01204 389238. Confirmation email will be sent to confirm and a collection date will be arranged. The goods must be in the same new condition as deliveried.
If an exchange is required, any price difference will be made at the prices of the original order date. A re-delivery charge will apply.
In case of a refund, this will be made with the exception of the delivery costs. We will arrange for the collection of the goods, but you will be liable for the costs of the collection.
4.3: The furniture must be accessible for our delivery team. Saracen Leather Furniture Ltd will not be liable for costs incurred where normal access was not possible.
5. Guarantees
5.1 The internal wooden frames, excluding items from our occasional range, are guaranteed against faulty materials and workmanship, allowing for fair ware and tear for a period of 5 years from date of receipt. All other parts including leather, fabric, springs, foams, polished wood, and feet are guaranteed against faulty materials and workmanship allowing for fair ware and tear for a period of 2 years. These guarantees apply to Mainland Uk only. For Trade and Export orders guarantees are 1 year on both frame and faulty materials and workmanship.
5.2: Customers own supply of leather and fabrics are not covered by our guarantees , it is the customers responsibility to ensure they are fit for purpose.
5.3 All our guarantees apply to the original purchaser only, customer must retain receipts as prove of purchase.
6. Tittle To Goods
6.1: Goods remain the property of Saracen Leather Furniture Ltd until paid in full.
7.1 Privacy
7.1 The General Data Protection Regulations mean you have a greater control over how your data is used and kept. Saracen Leather Furniture Ltd will never pass your details on to other companies to contact you. We only use the information that we collect about you lawfully and in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), Data Protection Act 1998 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications ( EC Directive) Regulations 2003.
